LeBron James had a hilarious reason for why Utah Jazz players were last picked in All-Star draft

LeBron James and Kevin Durant picked their NBA All-Star teams Thursday night on TNT and one thing was hard to miss – Utah’s Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert were the last two players to be picked.

The Jazz have the league’s best record (27-9) at the break and have been playing really good basketball all season long.

So why were their star players the last to be picked?

LeBron gave this explanation:

“I just want to say something, because there’s no slander to the Utah Jazz but you guys got to understand, just like in video games growing up, we never played with Utah. Even as great as Karl Malone and John Stockton were, we never would have picked those guys. Never.”

Utah Jazz fans probably aren’t going to like that explanation, but whatever. It was some good fun. And yes, Stockton and Malone were great but their pick-and-rolls weren’t the most exciting things in the world when it came to picking a team to play with on a video game.
