Super Bowl LVI will conclude what has been a thrilling 2021 NFL postseason. The postseason's two survivors, the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams, will play on Feb. 13 to earn the title of world champion.

There are several compelling storylines for this year's Super Bowl. The Rams as hoping to reverse their 13-3 loss to the Patriots in Super Bowl LIII. The Bengals are in pursuit of the franchise's first Super Bowl title after coming up short in the franchise's first two Super Bowls in the 1980s. Cincinnati made history this postseason by winning the franchise's first playoff game in 31 years. It also captured the franchise's first road playoff victory.

This year's Super Bowl will include several records. Here's a look at what Super Bowl records could fall in the 56th edition of pro football's marquee game.

A triple crown for Burrow

With a win over the Rams, Joe Burrow would become the first quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy, a national championship and a Super Bowl title. Burrow is three years removed from leading LSU to a national championship. Burrow threw 12 touchdowns and no interceptions in the Tigers' postseason victories over Oklahoma and Clemson.

Youngest coach to win the Super Bowl

Sean McVay will become the youngest head coach to win the Super Bowl if Los Angeles defeats Cincinnati. McVay, who celebrated his 36th birthday on Jan. 24, would surpass Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who was six weeks shy of his 37th birthday when Pittsburgh defeated Arizona in Super Bowl XLIII.

Home-field advantage

The Rams will become the first team to host a conference title game and the Super Bowl in the same postseason. After no team hosted a Super Bowl for the game's first 54 editions, the NFC champion will "host" the Super Bowl for a second straight year. On paper, the Bengals will be the home team, as the AFC champion is the designated home team for even Super Bowls.

Most receiving yards in a Super Bowl

Jerry Rice holds the record for most receiving yards in a Super Bowl. Rice tallied 215 receiving yards during the 49ers' win over the Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII. Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase and Rams wideout Cooper Kupp could certainly threaten that record. Chase put up 266 yards in the Bengals' Week 17 win over the Chiefs. Kupp put up a season-high 183 yards in the Rams' divisional-round win over the Buccaneers.

Most sacks in a Super Bowl

Steelers pass rusher L.C. Greenwood sacked Roger Staubach four times in Super Bowl X, per Pro-Football-Reference.com. Given the Bengals' struggles in pass protection, Aaron Donald and Von Miller could threaten Greenwood's 46-year-old record. Cincinnati's Trey Hendrickson could also make a run at the record after recording 14 sacks during the regular season.

Battle of No. 1 QBs

For the second time, two quarterbacks who were the No. 1 overall pick in their respective drafts will face off in the Super Bowl. The first time was between Cam Newton and Peyton Manning in Super Bowl 50. Matthew Stafford was the top pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, while Burrow was the first player selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Stafford and Burrow each won their first postseason games in January.

An underdog Super Bowl

For the first time, two teams that were were not a top-three seed in the playoffs will face off in the Super Bowl. Both Los Angeles and Cincinnati entered the playoffs as the fourth seed in their respective conferences. The Bengals knocked off the top-seeded Titans and second-seeded Chiefs en route to Super Bowl LVI. The Rams upset the second-seeded Buccaneers in the divisional round before defeating a 49ers team in the NFC title game that had swept them during the regular season.

Worst to first

With a win over the Rams, the Bengals would join the 1981 49ers as the only franchises to win the Super Bowl after having the league's worst record two years earlier. The Bengals were 2-14 in 2019, Zac Taylor's first season as Cincinnati's coach. The Bengals went 4-11-1 last season as they lost Burrow for the season's final six games. Ironically, the Bengals were the team that the 49ers defeated in Super Bowl XVI to capture the franchise's first of four Vince Lombardi Trophies during the 1980s.

Another one bites the dust

If they can beat the Rams, the Bengals would remove themselves from the list of teams that have not won a Super Bowl. Cincinnati is currently one of 12 teams that has yet to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

First in Los Angeles

The Rams have yet to win a Super Bowl in Los Angeles, as they were in St. Louis when they defeated the Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV. The Rams, who made Los Angeles their home from 1946-94, returned to Los Angeles in 2017. The Raiders are the only Los Angeles-based team to win a Super Bowl after they upset defending champion Washington in Super Bowl XVIII.
