Conor McGregor was arrested in Ireland on suspicion of dangerous driving Tuesday.

Robin Schiller of The Independent reported police seized his Bentley for a short time after a traffic stop for alleged traffic offenses.

He was charged with dangerous driving before being released. He's set to appear for a hearing next month at the Blanchardstown district court in Dublin. The charge carries a maximum of up to six months in prison and a €5,000 ($5,500) fine.

“Mr. McGregor was driving to the gym when he was stopped by Gardai for alleged road traffic violations. He passed the drug and alcohol tests taken at the station," McGregor spokesperson Karen Kessler said, per Marc Raimondi of ESPN.

McGregor has had a number of run-ins with the law over the course of his life. He pleaded guilty to simple assault of a man in 2019 and was convicted of another assault earlier in his life. Last year, McGregor allegedly assaulted Italian musician Francesco Facchinetti at a nightclub.

In 2018, McGregor pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct after throwing a metal dolly at the window of a bus on which fighters for UFC 223 were passengers. Both Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg were injured by the shattered glass and removed from the card. McGregor was ordered by a judge to complete five days of community service and anger management classes.

McGregor has also twice been accused of sexual assault, though no criminal charges have been filed. The woman who said McGregor sexually assaulted her in a Dublin hotel in December 2018 filed a civil case against him which is ongoing.

As far as traffic violations, McGregor was previously fined €400 for speeding in Dublin back in 2017 and had his license suspended for six months for speeding in Kill, County Kildare a year later.
