Five-star quarterback Arch Manning, the top recruit in the nation, visited Virginia this weekend.

At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Manning is the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2023 out of Isidore Newman. This was his fourth visit to a school since the end of his junior season, after making trips to Georgia, Alabama and Texas in March.

Manning's older sister May is a freshman at Virginia. Manning’s parents, Cooper and Ellen, attended the Virginia lacrosse team’s win over North Carolina on Saturday and they were in the donor box with Virginia AD Carla Williams, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

The Cavaliers have a new coaching staff, hiring former Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott in December. Manning has visited Clemson twice, last summer and this past fall when the Tigers defeated Florida State on Oct. 30.

He has taken three visits each to Texas, Alabama and Georgia. Manning has also visited Ole Miss twice and his father Cooper, grandfather Archie, and uncle Eli all attended the school. He also visited LSU and SMU last summer.

Newman defeated Lafayette Christian in the Division III state championship game in basketball last month, delivering Manning's first state championship, 56-47. But in football, Newman lost to LCA in the Division III semifinals this past winter, 49-7.
