Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant continues to show why he is the future face of the NBA. In a must-win Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, he exploded for a historic and playoff career-high 47 points to give his team the 106-101 victory.

While the Warriors fought hard and appeared to be on their way to a comeback victory, Morant took over and was simply unstoppable. In the process, he became just the third player in NBA playoffs history to have multiple 45-point games before turning 23 years old, per Marc J. Spears of Undefeated.

Now those are names you want to be mentioned in the same breath. Not to mention that both LeBron James and Kobe Bryant are NBA champions, something that Ja Morant himself wants to become sooner or later.

Morant is the most electrifying player in the NBA today, and in just his Year 3 in the league, he already has the Grizzlies contending for the title.

Even though they are still a bit far from reaching their goal–as they have to first eliminate the Warriors after tying the series 1-1–the team has to be brimming with confidence considering the talent they have. Morant has proven to be the difference-maker for the Grizzlies, and if he continues his brilliant play, it's not hard to see the squad going deeper in the 2022 postseason.
