Tom Brady says focus is on children, football in wake of divorce from Gisele Bündchen

For the first time since his divorce was made public last week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady on Monday night addressed how he's handling the situation.

On his weekly "Let's Go" podcast, Brady told co-host Jim Gray that his focus is taking care of his children ... and winning football games.

"So that's what professionals do," Brady said. "You focus at work when it's time to work, and then when you come home you focus on the priorities that are at home. And all you can do is the best you can do, and that's what I'll just continue to do as long as I'm working, as long as I'm being a dad."

The six-time Super Bowl champion called his split with supermodel Gisele Bündchen after 13 years of marriage "amicable" as they share joint custody of their son and daughter. Brady also has a son with actress Bridget Moynahan, who lives in New York.

Tom Brady shares the stage with daughter Vivian and sons Benjamin and Jack, after the Buccaneers' victory in Super Bowl 55.

Brady also acknowledged the difficulties of having his personal, as well as his professional life play out in public.

"That's how people really have gotten to know me over the years, by being on TV," he said. "And you're giving all you can to the team and you know, everyone's going through different things. We all have our unique challenges in life and we're all humans and we do the best we can do."
