Punishments were finally handed out following the Cleveland Guardians-Chicago White Sox, Jose Ramirez-Tim Anderson brawl which took place on Saturday night. In the end, five players and three total coaches were disciplined for what occurred on the field.

Headlining those punished were Ramirez who received a three games suspension and Anderson who was awarded a six-game ban. Both managers, Pedro Grifol and Terry Francona, were also suspended for one game.

There was a lot to unpack during the 15-minute delay and MLB did a thorough investigation to make sure they were fair.

This is what Cleveland's manager had to say after the penalties were dished out:

Francona makes a good point that there are two sides to the story and it was inevitable that players from the Guardians were going to be in some hot water following what happened.

Ramirez will appeal his suspension while Francona, Mike Sarbaugh, and Emmanuel Clase will serve there and move on with the rest of the season.
