Coco Gauff's dominance at the 2024 Australian Open continues as she defeated fellow American and childhood friend Alycia Parks in the third round.

The 2023 US Open Champion defeated Parks in only 61 minutes with a score of 6-0, 6-3 to progress into the fourth round of the Australian Open. The 19-year-old Gauff has won 10 consecutive major matches, equaling Serena Williams' record for the third-longest streak by an American teenager in the Open Era.

Gauff has improved to 8-0 for this season after winning the Auckland title to start 2024 off on the right foot.

Gauff will now face Poland’s Magdalena Frech in the fourth round of the Australian Open on Saturday, January 20.

When was the last time Gauff lost a match?

Iga Świątek ended Coco Gauff's 16-match winning streak in the semifinals of the China Open in October 2023. According to WTA, Gauff's winning streak was the longest by an American teenager since Serena Williams in 1999.

Williams herself had her 16-match winning streak broken at the Porsche Grand Prix in Filderstadt, Germany.
