The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine continued on Saturday Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis as quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers took the field to showcase their skills and attempt to boost their draft stock.

While some players on Bleacher Report's 2024 NFL Draft Big Board participated on Saturday, others, like USC's Caleb Williams and LSU's Jayden Daniels, opted to skip their workouts.

While Williams and Daniels weren't in action on Saturday, there were still plenty of quarterbacks putting on a showcase. Oregon quarterback and Heisman finalist Bo Nix showed off his arm, throwing a dime downfield that likely turned some heads.

Another Heisman finalist, Washington's Michael Penix Jr., showed off the passing skills that helped lead the Huskies to the national championship game.

Penix, the No. 5 quarterback in this year's draft class according to Bleacher Report's Scouting Department, had 4,903 passing yards and 36 touchdowns in 2023.

The quarterback that beat Penix in the College Football Playoff title game, Michigan's J.J. McCarthy, also showed off his arm, flinging the ball nearly 60 yards to hit his receiver in stride.

McCarthy's numbers don't jump off the page the same way as some of the other top quarterbacks—he threw 2,991 yards and 22 touchdowns—but the former Wolverine is still likely to be one of the first quarterbacks taken off the board.

BYU quarterback Kedon Slovis recorded the fastest 40-yard dash time of the day among quarterbacks with a 4.6, though many quarterbacks opted not to run the 40-yard dash.

College football fans already know that Tennessee's Joe Milton III has a cannon for an arm, but Milton got to display his range in front of scouts to try to raise his stock. Milton also had the hardest throw of the day at a whopping 62 mph.

Milton isn't among the top quarterbacks in this year's draft—he had 2,813 yards and 20 touchdowns for the Vols this season—but his rocket arm makes him a player to watch in this year's draft.

Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy stole the show among the wide receivers in the 40-yard dash. Worthy ran a blazing 4.21, which is now the fastest 40-yard dash time in combine history.

Worthy is considered to be the No. 47 player and the No. 8 wide receiver in the draft class by Bleacher Report's Scouting Department, and his unreal time is likely to put him on some team's radars. Worthy had 1,014 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the Longhorns last season.

Worthy's performance was certainly the most memorable of the day, but it was still a good showing all around from the wide receivers on Saturday. Virginia's Malik Washington and Holy Cross' Jalen Coker posted the best vertical jumps at 42.50" each and Texas' Adonai Mitchell had the best broad jump at 11'4".

The top two wide receivers on Bleacher Report's 2024 NFL Draft Big Board, Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. and LSU's Malik Nabers, didn't participate in the combine, but Washington's Rome Odunze brought the star power with a big performance.

Louisville's Isaac Guerendo led the way for the running backs, posting the fastest 40-yard dash time (4.33) and the highest vertical (41.50"). Guerendo had 810 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns for the Cardinals last season.

Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright also had a good showing, posting the second-fastest 40-yard dash time (4.38) and the longest broad jump (11'2"). He also had the fourth-highest vertical (38.00").

Florida State running back Trey Benson, who is considered to be the top running back in this year's draft class by Bleacher Report's Scouting Department, posted a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash, which was good for the third-best time.

Benson had 905 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns this season.

Another day of the NFL combine didn't disappoint, from some impressive showings from the top quarterbacks to a record-breaking time from Worthy, and some players certainly boosted their draft stock.

The combine will continue on Sunday with offensive linemen taking the field at 1 p.m. ET in Indianapolis.
