MLB Ump Angel Hernandez Had Fans Fuming Again With Awful Call in Mets-Dodgers Game

The 2024 Major League Baseball season has had a big problem with umpires making bad calls. Leading that charge yet again has been Angel Hernandez, who continues to be one of the worst umpires in the game.
He unfortunately lived up to that reputation while working home plate in Sunday's New York Mets-Los Angeles Dodgers game when he called a clear strike a ball. The error left fans fuming about how MLB can continue to have this guy working any games, let alone from behind home plate.
Look at this pitch from Adrian Houser and try to explain how anyone could call it a ball:

MLB fans sounded off:
At this point I blame MLB for keeping him employed https://t.co/gYofyOW6tm

MLB continues to implement new rules to “better” baseball but how this chump still has a job is beyond me. https://t.co/kgxYh2CQcy

I’m genuinely confused with how he sees the top of the strike zone because he also regularly calls strikes 3 baseballs too high https://t.co/k3LpWwGvsa

Can someone explain why this man still has a job umping? https://t.co/8dqZZIOAnf

how can we get this man fired? It’s every day at this point https://t.co/g4yvFo0Tgc

The umpires union protects him but that protection is gonna come back to bite them in the ass when MLB switches to electronic strike zones. Lot of umps are gonna lose their jobs when that happens. https://t.co/2j2sdOll6B
