Eagles' Saquon Barkley Trolls Giants, Tells Jameis Winston: 'NY Needs a QB Right Now'
Saquon Barkley took a jab at his former team as the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Speaking to free-agent quarterback Jameis Winston, who was asking Barkley questions for Fox Sports, Barkley said Winston could get picked up by the New York Giants this offseason.
"I'm a free agent, I don't really got no job," Winston said. "Who's gonna sign me in free agency?"

Answered Barkley: "I think New York needs a quarterback right now."
It was a hilarious interaction that gave Barkley the chance to take a shot at the team that let him walk last offseason, but there's some truth behind his answer. The Giants moved on from starting quarterback Daniel Jones in November, pivoting to Drew Lock under center with Tommy DeVito as his backup this season.
Now, both Lock and DeVito are set to hit free agency, as is their third-string option Tim Boyle, meaning the Giants don't have a quarterback heading into the 2025 season.
For what it's worth, Barkley took to social media to deny he was throwing shade at the Giants:
New York could pick up a quarterback with the No. 3 pick in the NFL draft, but if it doesn't, Winston could be a good option. Winston was shaky at times but had his moments for the Cleveland Browns this season. He finished the year with 2,121 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
