

College Basketball Transfer Portal 2025: Tracking Decisions for Notable Players
While the NCAA tournament is occupying the focus for a lot of college basketball fans, the transfer portal is already up and running.
The window opened Monday following the conclusion of the second round in the Big Dance. Players will have a little less than a month to decide on their future as the portal closes on April 22. Travis Branham of 247Sports.com noted more than 700 players entered the transfer portal once it opened.
Here are the biggest moves this spring.

UConn guard Aidan Mahaney has entered the transfer portal, according to On3's Joe Tipton.
Mahaney averaged 4.5 points per game during his first season with the Huskies after transferring from St. Mary's.

Michigan guard Tre Donaldson has entered the transfer portal, according to On3 Sports' Jamie Shaw.
Michigan added former North Carolina point guard Elliot Cadeau in the transfer portal on Monday.

Meechie Johnson announced on social media that he will transfer to South Carolina from Ohio State.
Johnson spent two years with the Gamecocks before transferring back to the Buckeyes for the 2024 season.

Michigan State guard Tre Holloman has entered the transfer portal, his agents told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

The former UNLV guard's father initially confirmed to Callie Fin of the Las Vegas Review-Journal the sophomore guard will enter the portal. A reunion with the Rebels was a possibility at the time.
Thomas was the team's leader in points (15.6) and assists (4.7) per game.
